Every record (line) of the dataset contains information about an employee of the research institute.

Demographic and behavioral indicators
champion
[boolean] TRUE if this record belongs to a user actively involved into the Enterprise 2.0 web platform (desktop.fbk.eu). In other words if the employee is granted access to the platform. FALSE otherwise.
short_term_contract
[boolean] TRUE if the employee hasn't a stable, long term contract with the research institute. To be more precise, we identified different classes of employees which doesn't have any contract (eg students, internships, visiting researchers) or that have an unstable contractual position (temporary employee contract). If the employee belongs to one of these classes, then "short_term_contract" is TRUE. FALSE otherwise.. NULL value if this data is not available for the employee.
female
[boolean] TRUE if employee's gender is female, FALSE otherwise. NULL value if gender data is not available for the employee.
lang
[boolean] TRUE if the employee chose to reply to the questionnaire in English, FALSE otherwise (the employee answered in Italian)
years_at_fbk
[boolean] TRUE if the employee had her/his first contract with the research institute more than three years ago. FALSE otherwise. NULL value if this data is not available for the employee.
days_in_taolin
[number] Number of days since the employee joined desktop.fbk.eu (i.e. since employee becomes a champion). NULL value for employees who are not champions of desktop.fbk.eu.
number_of_login_in_last_30_days
[number] This value is representative of the number of days during the last month (30 days) in which the employee logged into desktop.fbk.eu and performed at least one action. We grouped all the possible values in the range (from 0 to 30) into classes:
  • 0 = no login in last 60 days
  • 1 = from 1 up to 2 logins
  • 2 = from 3 up to 7 logins
  • 3 = from 8 up to 14 logins
  • 4 = 15 logins or more
NULL value for employees who are not champions of desktop.fbk.eu.
number_of_login_in_last_60_days
[number] This value is representative of the number of days during the last two months (60 days) in which the employee logged into desktop.fbk.eu and performed at least one action. We grouped all the possible values in the range (from 0 to 60) into classes:
  • 0 = no login in last 30 days
  • 1 = from 1 up to 5 logins
  • 2 = from 6 up to 15 logins
  • 3 = from 16 up to 29 logins
  • 4 = 30 logins or more
NULL value for employee s who are not champions of desktop.fbk.eu.
number_of_login_in_last_90_days
[number] This value is representative of the number of days during the last three months (90 days) in which the employee logged into desktop.fbk.eu and performed at least one action. We grouped all the possible values in the range (from 0 to 90) into classes:
  • 0 = no login in last 90 days
  • 1 = from 1 up to 6 logins
  • 2 = from 7 up to 21 logins
  • 3 = from 22 up to 42 logins
  • 4 = 43 logins or more
NULL value for employees who are not champions of desktop.fbk.eu.

Survey questions

Participants were asked to respond to these questions on a 5- point Likert scale, providing a score from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree). There are no missing values.

These questions were targeted only to active users of the Enterprise 2.0 platform, so for non-champions all the values are missing. For champions, there are no missing values. Champions were asked to respond on a 5- point Likert scale, providing a score from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree).
